Montana Lisianthus is a family-run greenhouse nursery located in the heart of the Westland, one of the Netherlands’ most renowned horticultural regions. For over 30 years, we have specialised in growing this exceptional cut flower year-round. Today, our family continues to cultivate a diverse range of lisianthus varieties, combining decades of growing experience with a continuous search for new and distinctive flowers.
OUR STORY
A FAMILY-RUN FLOWER FARM
As a family of flower growers, we are consistently up at dawn to welcome the golden light. As we enter our greenhouses, we find our lisianthus blooming generously. And while we grow our flowers year-round, there is nothing quite like looking out over our colourful fields of lisianthus, illuminated by the soft glow of the morning sun.
We are constantly mesmerised by the incredible diversity of our lisianthus. They remind us of our family: each one unfolding layer upon layer, revealing their own character. Every flower different and unique, yet bound by a common spirit.
That is the true wealth of a family-run flower farm. Our conversations continue long after the meal is over, with every generation bringing their own ideas and energy. Perhaps that is what our farm is truly about: not only having more, but having something to share, nurture and pass on. And also we hope to share our flowers with you.

A NATURAL APPROACH TO GROWING LISIANTHUS
With family at the heart of our farm, one seat is reserved for mother nature. Over the years we have found that often the best practises are found close to home. In the case of growing flowers many solutions lie in nature itself. Every year we welcome more and more organic growing practices into our greenhouses.
In our greenhouses we have learned how to grow with nature, creating a balance in which even the smallest forms of life have a place. We collect rainwater to water our plants, tiny allies help us keep the plants in balance and the green waste of trimmed flowers is returned as nourishment for future fields. We see beauty in the natural equilibrium of nature and in allowing it to help our flowers bloom.
